All integrations, frameworks, API clients and front-end libraries must be on the most recent Algolia version to be eligible for support.
Why only the most recent version?
There are a few reason we only support the most recent version:
- Our team are continuously making improvements to the extension which you can track in our releases channel here, we want to make sure that all these fixes and improvements are active on your site so we can rule them out of being the cause of the issue you are seeing. If it happens that you are seeing an issue we have already fixed, then the solution will already be in the newer version anyway, and making your own hotfix for such issues will make the process of upgrading even harder.
- Our support team (and engineers) are using their own working Magento environments to look into your issues and reproduce problems you see. We keep these environments on the latest version of the extension, so if you are not also using the latest version we wont be reproducing the problem in the same environment you are using.
