Why isn't a feature that works on search not working on browse?

There are several parameters that are applied automatically on browse. Please refer to the link for the latest information. As of this article, the params are

• advancedSyntax: false
• attributesToHighlight: []
• attributesToSnippet: []
• distinct: false
• enablePersonalization: false
• enableRules: false
• facets: []
• getRankingInfo: false
• ignorePlurals: false
• optionalFilters: []
• typoTolerance: true or false (min and strict evaluate to true)

This means that associated such as rules and personalization are not available on browse. Additionally, on querying the index with browse, you won't be able to apply more specific typo tolerance like min and strict, plurals can't be ignored, ranking information isn't returned, you can't include highlighting and snippeting information in the response, nor faceting information.
