If you've selected event metrics in the Display Preferences section of the Dashboard, but don’t see them displayed in the item cards, it’s likely due to where you’re viewing them.
Metrics are only visible in the Merchandising Studio workspace
Currently, item card metrics are only shown within the Merchandising Studio - Algolia’s no-code workspace designed for digital merchandisers. This interface focuses on optimizing:
Search merchandising
Category merchandising
Facet merchandising
Even if you configure metrics in the dashboard under Display Preferences > Metrics, these values will only appear in item cards inside Merchandising Studio, not in the standard index view.
How to access the Merchandising Studio
To view your item cards with metrics applied:
Open your Algolia Dashboard
Click the workspace switcher icon (also called the "app launcher")
Select Merchandising Studio
Navigate to your configured index to see metrics displayed in the item cards
Future updates
Algolia is working on bringing item card metrics to additional areas of the dashboard. For now, Merchandising Studio remains the dedicated environment for this feature.
