Since May 2026 an updated search tool has been implemented for all newly created agents within Agent Studio.
This search tool provides:
- Improved relevance of returned results.
- Reduced response latency.
- Additional search configuration options to help manage and control LLM usage.
To check your agent is on the newest search tool, please visit the agent in question > select search tool's ⋮ button > Edit configuration
Within the following menu if a cog ⚙ symbol is present, this search tool is using the latest version.
This allows access to the following features to refine an agents behaviour.
If there is no cog ⚙ symbol present, this search tool is utilising the original Agent Studio search tool.
It is not possible to upgrade the search tool of an existing agent.
