When configuring your Looking Similar model, the image attributes available for selection are based on your index configuration.
Firstly, the Looking Similar model will look at the Images section of your index’s Display Preferences. If your image attribute is defined here, this will be used as the options for the model.

If no image attribute is configured in Display Preferences, it looks at the first record of an empty search and deciphers which attribute holds the image URLs. The detected attribute is then used to determine which attributes appear as selectable during setup.
If the expected attributes aren’t showing, ensure that either:
You have explicitly set your image attribute in Display Preferences, or
The correct image attribute is present in the first record returned by an empty search.
Note that the empty search performed by the model may not match the behaviour of an empty search using your application’s settings. For this reason, we strongly recommend setting your image attribute in Display Preferences to guarantee consistent results.
