The only requirement of Looking Similar is to have at least one attribute with image(s) in your index. The model can be used right away without the need to track events.
The Looking Similar model currently has the following limitations:
- You can select a maximum of 3 attributes with images
- Maximum 500,000 images per training (the model will fetch up to this limit, sorted by relevance based on your custom ranking). For example, the maximum number of records (products) that will be used in training if each record has:
- 1 image attribute with 1 image - 500,000
- 1 image attribute with 5 images - 100,000
- 2 image attributes with 1 image each - 250,000
- 2 image attributes with 2 images each - 125,000
- 3 image attributes with 1 image each - 166,666
- It can’t use Recommend Rules
What do the Dashboard metrics mean?
- Items with recommendations: Number of items that the model recommended at least one product for.
- Coverage: The percentage of viable items* that have been recommended at least once for one of the items with recommendations.
*in relation to Looking Similar, an item is considered viable if it was used in training (ie. had at least one image attribute).
The above shows that:
- The model generated at least 1 recommendation (Looking Similar image) for 808 items
- 99% of the viable items have been recommended at least once for one of the 808 items
